Admissions Policy
It is our intention to make Foundry Road Pre School genuinely accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. In order to accomplish this we will:

Ensure that the existence of Foundry Road Pre School is widely known in all local communities.

Place notices advertising Foundry Road Pre School in places where all sections of the community can see them, in more than one language if appropriate.

Arrange our waiting list using the following system: date of birth; special needs; time on waiting list.

Keep a place vacant, ONLY if this is financially viable, in order to accommodate emergency admissions.

Be flexible about attendance patterns so as to accommodate the needs of individual children and families.

Describe Foundry Road Pre-School and its practices in terms which make it clear that it welcomes both fathers and mothers, other relations and other carers, including child minders, and people from all cultural, ethnic, religious and social groups, with and without disabilities.

Monitor the gender and ethnic background of children joining the group to ensure that no accidental discrimination is taking place.

Make our equal opportunities policy widely known.

Please inform pre-school of any change of address or telephone number.

Consult with families about the opening times of Foundry Road Pre School to avoid excluding anyone.

Follow our settling in Policy and Practice to offer the best initial support for children and families.

At the appropriate time teachers/staff from a future school/new setting are welcome to visit Foundry Road, senior staff may discuss your child's progress with them to help with this transition.

Whilst we appreciate that there are times when parents are unavoidably late, we reserve the right to fine parents who are late picking up their child, a late fee of £10 will be charged and a further £10 every 15 minutes following end of session. This is at the discretion of management.

If you no longer require your child’s place, 4 weeks written notice and payment must be given.

If payment of any outstanding fee’s has not been received within 5 working days in receipt of a invoice a late fee of £10 will incur and children will no longer be allowed to enter into pre-school until we are in receipt of all fee’s.

If your child has a medical condition that we have been informed of, we will need to either have a meeting with a Health Care Professional who can best advise on the particular needs of the child, and yourselves to discuss the medical condition and complete a Health Care Plan, or a letter from the Health Care Professional who can best advise on the particular needs of the child, on letter headed paper giving us specific information regarding the condition has been received. We have a letter which can be give to professional if required. Your child will not be able to start pre-school until all documentation is in place or any specific training has been attended for our staff (if needed).
Foundry Road has a strict no smoking policy.

Funding
We accept time for twos children which enables families who meet the criteria to claim 15 hours free education. Please visit www.dudley.gov.uk or ring Dudley childcare helpline on 01384814291
The term after a childs’ third birthday entitles them to 15 hours free Early Education Funding. Fees are payable for any hours required above this. We will let you know when your child is entitled to this.
From September 2017, some working parents of three and four year old’s will be eligible for up to an extra 15 hours of free childcare per week. Added to their current entitlement of EEF 15 hours this means that their free entitlement will increase to a maximum of 30 per week. During the early stages of this new legislation we reserve the right to amend our admission policy based on continuing assessment.
As we are open for more than 30 hours there additional fees will apply, including café.
